Almost Home!

Jack Allan Sciscio November 2008

Wayne Taylor Sciscio May 1974

We had a great night with Jack in the room with us. He has been doing a great job all night and day of eating, sleeping, pooping, crying and expelling gas. Which means that, in the infant world, he is what all the scouts are looking for..."A Five Tool Player".

Anyway, Jack went under the blue bili lights this morning around 9am. He has responded perfectly as the last blood test showed his bilirubin levels had dropped as they should. He will be removed from the lights around 6am pending the outcome of another test. According to the nurses he should have no problems.

Baniela was a little more active today. She has been walking around quite a bit more, as she should. But, as can be expected, she became very tired and has been very sore. I think she will be feeling the effects of these past few days for quite a while. But she is pretty tough. I know how much she is looking forward to tomorrow and, hopefully, the three of us heading home for the first time as a family.

Baniela and I would like to thank everybody for all of the well wishes from comments on the blog, emails, text messages and voicemails. I am sure you know it is tough to respond to all of them right now. When we get settled back at home we look forward to getting in touch with everyone who has been so thoughtful as to send us their best. We have tremendous support from our friends and family. That support has been an incredible help to us.

Thank you.

  2. Hi Baniela and Wayne,

I think he looks like both of you. Wonder of wonders! He's beautiful.

We'll have to take a look at his chart to see what he brought to earth and how he's going to use these gifts.

Be well. Hope to see you soon.

    Love and blessings.............P.
