Jack had a great first full day! He is still in the NICU. He may be moved to the gen-pop nursery as soon as tomorrow (Thursday). He needs to start taking his bottle and keeping it down more regularly so the iv can be removed. He is doing OK with the feedings but just needs to take one more step to get outta there.
Today was as much of a whilrwind of activity as a one day old in ICU can have. He got to meet a whole bunch of Mommy and Daddy's friends and family. Let's see, there was Gramma and Grampa Sciscio, Teza (aunt) Merita and Xhaxhi (uncle) Altin, Felita, Dawn, Angela, Teza Arta and Xhaxhi Xhani. I hope he can keep all of the names straight.
That is all for now. Baniela and I are pretty tired but we're very much looking forward to another great day tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteWow, Jack...from NICU to Mom and Dad's room with no time in GenPop! Way to go, dude! I'm glad to see that you are able to keep your formula down..that's a great thing! I was worried that maybe it was the five coconut doughnuts but then I remembered that it's probably a little early for that and maybe you just had to get used to everything! Love you lots!

Also, glad to hear that Mommy is doing so well! I am not surprised she pulled such a cool move today! I've seen your Mommy make spanikopita from scratch, iron a shirt and cut my hair so it would look good under my binkie all at the same time..she's an amazing lady!
